Our proposal for Bubbletent looked at a number of sites and experiences withing the Capertee Valley, a world renowned area for star gazing. The original Bubbletent experience although highly coveted by visitors was plagued with a number of constraints.

"Upgrading existing infrastructure with radical and pragmatic solutions."

The sites remote location, and strong climatic factors lead to the design of a modular solution, able to be prefabricated and brought to site to be assembled.

In order to address the existing experience and upgrade it, upcycled drainage pipes are utilized to form for capsules that hold a variety of functions while at the same time creating a vital wind break for the Bubbletent, deflecting the prevailing gale force winds.

This plug-and-play system can be easily adapted and modules added or removed based on the diverse campsite specific requirements.

A recycled structure that provides a sustainable, modular and demountable backdrop that supports and enhances the camping experience. Promoting storage, reuse of resources and embracing the site fauna and flora diversity.
